And then there's the SENATE! (EDITED)

At the moment the Australian Senate has extra prominence. The Government (based always in the House of Representatives) wants its Bill passed in the week ahead. That can only happen with support of sufficient Senators. (The Government do not have sufficient of their own party to pass the legislation.)

I have not used intentionally AI anywhere in this blog.  If ever I do use it (eg for image creation), I will say so. I suppose it is possible images I use from Unsplash or Pixabay may include AI, but I have not noted any acknowledgement in the ones I have used.

The current inquiry by the (Federal Parliament's) Joint Select Committee on Electoral Matters (JSCEM) is receiving submissions until 14 November 2025. SUBMISSION CLOSED.
